When selecting a venue ask yourself these important questions.

Accepted Answer

Sales tax & service fee in package price? Clear, easy-to-understand pricing and other information? Representatives who are easy to communicate with and who gives you prompt, accurate responses? An online client payment portal, complete with a sponsor link for friends & family contributions? A private dressing room? The option to display your photos during the event? An on-site kitchen serving up fresh and delicious food? Free open houses, expos, and DJ showcases? The option to extend your event until 2:00am? No added fees to bring in liquor, keg of beer and wine? Complimentary rehearsal time? Mutiple, clean, and spacious restrooms? Free ample (paved) parking? Simple deposit and flexible payment options?

SLIDESHOW

Accepted Answer

Crown Jewel & Le Rose - USB with content saved in JPG or MP4 format. Marquis & Unique - Laptop with HDMI cord Callaghan & Lucky - USB(JPG or MP4 format.) turned in 2 weeks before event.

Question 4

OUTSIDE VENDORS

Accepted Answer

The client is responsible for any outside vendors. The venue does not loan out or assist vendors with any equipment of any kind. All outside vendors must set up and tear down (1 hr after event) during the set times. A fee will be charged to the client for any vendor going over these times.

CANDY TABLE

Accepted Answer

Candy table can only be setup 1 hr before event (usually 4pm) NO gum, gumballs, or cotton candy. Candy table fee must be paid.

Question 6

CAKE & SNACKS

Accepted Answer

Cake & Snacks (any desserts or guest table snacks) table can only be setup 1 hr before event (usually 4pm) (fruit, and pastries allowed)

Question 7

BEER & ALCOHOL

Accepted Answer

No outside food or drinks expect for: - see below & outside items page. 1 pony keg of beer (from 5pm to 8pm) 12 bottles of champagne, 6 bottles of wine, 6 bottles of sparkling juice. Bottles of liquor allowed.

SERVING TIME

Accepted Answer

Dinner is served promptly at the selected serving time. Food is served until plate count or time runs out. (1 hr serving time)

LEFTOVERS

Accepted Answer

If there is any leftovers they will be packed in large aluminum trays and left with the concessions attendant. Client can ask for their leftovers after event has ended. Leftovers are not to be consumed after serving time

CAKE CUTTING

Accepted Answer

Cake is cut promptly on time. take all photos beforehand and be sure to let us know what part of the cake if any you want saved.

LATE NIGHT SNACK

Accepted Answer

Late night snacks are 1hr or until food runs out. Serves 100.

Question 12

END OF EVENT

Accepted Answer

When your event ends your guests have 15 minutes to exit the ballroom. The client & assistants have 1 hr to collect their belongings and exit. Crew begins cleaning at the end of the event but will set items aside. All outside vendors including dj, band etc have 1 hr to tear down & exit.

LOST & FOUND

GEC does not keep a lost & found. ANYTHING left in the venue, will be thrown away

Question 14

CHANGES & ALTERATIONS

Accepted Answer

After your final review there are no changes to your event, including layout, serving times, decor and more. Client is not permitted to move tables or chairs the day of event.

Question 15

REASONS FOR SHUTDOWN

Accepted Answer

• Breech of contract • Out of control crowd (fighting, obscenities, etc), or underage drinking.

HITTING CAPACITY

Accepted Answer

If your event hits capacity, we will start a line outside and guests can enter as others leave.

Question 17

EVENT LEAKED PUBLICALLY

Accepted Answer

GEC hosts private events only. Do not post your event publicly online or elsewhere, if the event is discovered by the venue to be leaked, additional security will be needed and the client will be responsible for cost, regardless of who leaked the event

Question 18

ANIMALS

Accepted Answer

No animals, except service dogs are allowed in the ballroom.

Question 19

SMOKING

Accepted Answer

Absolutely no smoking allowed in the ballrooms including electronic cigarettes, and djs/bands with fog, smoke or haze

Question 20

EVENT COORDINATION & TIMELINE

Accepted Answer

GEC does NOT provide Event Coordination, but management is onsite to oversee GEC provided services like catering, decorations and concessions.
